Women's Own Worth Donates to Crisis Fund for DV Survivors

Kayley Ramsey

Charlene Fite of Women's Own Worth visited the 100 Families Initiative Office in Van Buren, Ar to present a check for $1,000. This donation will go to support domestic violence victims who are enrolled in the 100 Families Initiative, a network of providers and leaders dedicated to moving families from crisis to stability and onto long term careers.

Charlene Fite shared the organization’s mission, history, and statewide impact—including transitional housing, court support, and counseling services for women escaping abuse. She expressed her confidence in the 100 Families team: "We totally trust you. We know what you do. We know your reputation."

Becky Petty, Coordinator for the Crawford County 100 Families Initiative, emphasized the urgent needs survivors face, such as transportation required for employment and safety.

“It's every day,” she said, noting how frequently victims reach out for support. The funding will go directly toward helping women stabilize, rebuild, and move toward independence.

"We are just so very thankful to [Women's Own Worth] for choosing us. And we will use it to help women.”
