For fifteen years, Chloe’s life was marked by addiction, grief, and loss. After losing both of her parents and then her fiancé in 2020, she spiraled further, eventually losing custody of her two daughters. Pregnant and struggling, Chloe found herself completely homeless with her newborn son. “I truly thought I would die in addiction,” she says. “I never thought I’d see the day that I got sober. I never thought I would have a career. Never thought I would be here today in front of you.”
Chloe’s turning point came when she connected with Restore Hope and the 100 Families Initiative, which links families in crisis to coordinated services across housing, employment, healthcare, childcare, and more. “When I tell you the title Restore Hope, it’s truly what it does,” Chloe says. “You don’t have that hope when you’re that broken… you lose sight of ever being able to come out of it.”
With support, Chloe rebuilt her life. She achieved sobriety, regained custody of her daughters, and found stability for her family.
Now, Chloe works on the other side of the 100 Families Initiative — helping families who are walking the same road she once traveled. “It is truly one of the best things I could ask for,” she says. “Now that I get to work on this side of it and help families come out of it like I did — I couldn’t ask for anything better.”
Chloe’s story is proof of what’s possible when families are met with compassion, coordinated support, and a belief that change is possible. From homelessness and despair to stability and hope, she now stands as both a survivor and a guide — helping others see that they, too, can build a new future.
