Stevie and John came into the 100 Families office in Johnson County looking for resources to help them relocate closer to their children who had been placed in a foster home. What started as a search for resources quickly turned into a journey of hard work, determination, and a family finding its way back together.
In a very short amount of time, Stevie and John were able to find housing and begin making the move. During this time, they continued visitation with the children and began rebuilding relationships and strengthening those family bonds. Before long, they were granted overnight visits, and things continued to move in a positive direction.
Their advocate, Bethany, was inspired by their determination and grit.
"It was truly amazing to watch how hard Stevie and John worked to prepare for their children to come home," she said. "Every step brought them closer to their goal, and with the support of DHS, the transition went smoothly."
Because of their dedication and efforts, all four children were reunified with Stevie and John and a family was made whole again.
