The philanthropic nonprofit For Others has awarded a $1 million technology grant to advance HopeHub, a data-sharing and case management platform designed to help communities move families from crisis to stability and on to career. Developed by Restore Hope, HopeHub allows service providers in a community to coordinate care efficiently and connect families to essential resources such as housing, employment, and transportation.

The new investment will support continued innovation in the platform’s design and usability, with a focus on:

  • Reducing cost by minimizing duplication of services across agencies

  • Increasing efficiency through automation of referrals, reporting, and data management

  • Allowing family advocates to focus on building relationships with people in crisis, while the system automates transactional processes

“For Others invests in solutions that combine innovation and compassion. Supporting HopeHub technology means helping link together government, churches, community service providers, and nonprofits to serve vulnerable kids and families,” said For Others Executive Director Deb Wyatt. “With all of these partners connecting, we are showing the nation what it looks like to bring hope and lasting change to families and children in crisis.”

“HopeHub is not just a tool. It’s a bridge that connects people to hope faster,” said Paul Chapman, Executive Director of Restore Hope. “Through HopeHub, we can connect families in crisis with caring advocates and resources that address both urgent needs and long-term opportunities.”

The grant will also strengthen Arkansas’s new 10:33 Initiative, launched this month by Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders in partnership with the Arkansas Department of Human Services and the Arkansas Department of Commerce. The 10:33 Initiative uses HopeHub to connect Arkansans in need with faith and community partners.

“The 10:33 Initiative was carefully designed by my Faith-Based Initiatives office to give Arkansans a hand up, not a handout,” said Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders. “By leveraging the power of technology and connecting Arkansans in need with partners willing to help, this initiative will lift Arkansans out of poverty and improve their long-term self-sufficiency, ultimately strengthening families and transforming lives. With the help of incredible partners like For Others, we are building a stronger future for Arkansans and helping to create a model for the nation.”

“We’re grateful for the incredible work of our partners Restore Hope, The Contingent, and CarePortal in Arkansas, whose commitment to children and families reflects the heart of our mission at For Others,” said For Others Founder Chris Tomlin. “We commend Governor Sanders for her vision and leadership in launching the 10:33 initiative.”

HopeHub is currently being used in 19 counties across Arkansas and has expanded beyond the state to serve communities in Iowa, Michigan, and Canada. HopeHub is a secure, collaborative case management platform that allows community partners to share data, coordinate care, and track outcomes for families in crisis.

About For Others
Every year, hundreds of thousands of children and families in America face instability and separation. For Others, founded by Chris and Lauren Tomlin, is a nonprofit with a bold mission to end the child welfare crisis in America. We raise awareness and connect resources to solutions through three strategies: preventing children from entering foster care, recruiting, and retaining ideal foster families, and empowering communities to create state-level solutions. By uniting individuals, businesses, local governments, churches, and best-in-class organizations, we multiply impact and transform awareness into action, serving as both a strategic philanthropic partner and a catalyst for lasting change so children and families move from crisis to stability to thriving.
