Julius Buie

I was born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, in 1986 and am the youngest of six children. Growing up in a low-income neighborhood, I faced many challenges and made choices that led me into gang life, addiction, and multiple arrests. My turning point came during my last time in jail at the Pulaski County Detention Center, where I cried out to Jesus and experienced a spiritual awakening that changed the course of my life. After graduating from M18 Recovery (now EA Recovery), I went on to earn a two-year ministry degree from the NLC School of Ministry and later joined EveryArkansan as a Case Manager for the 100 Families Initiative, supporting families in crisis and mentoring youth in the juvenile court system. Today, I serve as a Court Coordinator for the Smart Justice Initiative in the North Little Rock District Court while pursuing my theology degree. As a father of three boys, I strive to be an example of resilience and hope. My mission is to be a change agent—helping others find stability, supporting second chances, and building leaders who can transform our communities for generations to come.
