Arkansas workforce development leaders, human services officials, and members of the legislature met at the Department of Commerce to continue charting the path forward for the 10:33 Initiative, a statewide effort announced by Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders to help Arkansans move from crisis to stability and on to career.
The 10:33 Initiative creates a more coordinated “one door” approach to government services—a system where individuals can access multiple forms of support through one entry point instead of navigating a maze of agencies. The One Door Model is a policy framework aimed at integrating social-safety-net programs like SNAP with workforce development and job-training services into a unified access point.
The 10:33 Initiative, announced earlier this month, positions Arkansas as a national model for a One Door approach—aligning government, business, and faith communities to serve shared clients through shared outcomes. Three Arkansas counties are included in the pilot for the initiative: Pulaski, Pope, and Union.
The HopeHub platform, developed by Restore Hope, will be used to connect families with housing, employment, healthcare, and other support. The intiative focuses on employment and self-sufficiency, emphasizing moving people toward work and reducing long-term dependence.
